After over 12 years working as a Design Director at a top NYC firm, Melissa Cheing decided to follow her passion and launch her own architectural firm, MCC-Arch, in 2023. This decision wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment one—it came from years of honing her craft, working on projects spanning over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space in New York City. From prebuilds to retail interiors, Melissa had seen it all, yet something was missing—the chance to truly do things her way.
Her clients knew her for her meticulous attention to detail, her unique blend of creativity and practicality, and her ability to listen deeply to their needs. They started reaching out to her directly for projects. This demand, combined with her passion to make a greater impact, led Melissa to take the leap and found MCC-Arch.
